Fly into Paro on one of the world's most scenic mountain approaches, then transfer to the capital, Thimphu, for a welcome dinner.

Cross the Dochula Pass, lined with 108 memorial chortens, before descending into the warmer Punakha valley to visit its dzong.
A gentle day exploring the valley on foot, including a walk to Chimi Lhakhang, the temple dedicated to the region's beloved 'Divine Madman'.
Return to the Paro valley, stopping to visit local farmhouses and the region's terraced rice fields along the way.
The signature day of the journey — a morning hike up to Paro Taktsang, the Tiger's Nest Monastery, clinging to a cliff 3,000 feet above the valley floor.
Visit Rinpung Dzong and the National Museum before unwinding with a traditional Bhutanese hot-stone bath in the late afternoon.
